Influence of quenching oil flow on it’s cooling curve
The flux is an important factor of the cooling curve of the quenching medium. This paper describes the effect of the temperature and the flux speed in a case of high-performance quenching oil. Whereas the temperature of liquid quenching medium is usualy well known, the flux speed can differ by several orders of magnitude in different pints of the working place. There are also quoted results of measuring the flux speed of two oil quenching baths.
