Flow modeling of the quenching medium

Mathematical modeling methods simulated the flow of quenching medium in a bath of about 64 m3 for hardening of forgings.The aim of the modeling was to adjust the quenching bath (internal partitions and curtains, bath circulating system) so as to guarantee a minimum defined flow velocity of the quenchining medium on the batch and to achieve a uniform cooling thereof. Modeling has been implemented as an alternative to an empty bath, various bath barriers, and types of charges. Another variable was the cooling medium (water and polymer bath).
