Tool steels processed by DED technology used for the repair of pressure casting moulds
Conventional methods are commonly used for the repair of die casting moulds. With DED technology, it is possible to speed up the entire repair process, while simultaneously improving mechanical properties. In this work, the mechanical properties, structure and heat treatment of the conventionally processed material 1.2343 and the material Ferro 55, which was prepared by DED technology, are be compared. In addition to the DED technology, in this work the Ferro 55 material is compared with the SPS (Plasma Sintering) technology, when this method of metal preparation results in minimal porosity and minimal thermal influence, thereby achieving maximum mechanical properties.
