The success of heat treatment processes depends not only on the correct setting and management of the process itself but also critically on the high level of expertise of the workers and their ability to ensure quality control and demonstrate compliance with the required parameters. However, input factors such as material quality, the suitability of the chosen technology, required post-heat treatment parameters, allowances for final machining, and other technological requirements, such as weldability or additional surface treatments, play a crucial role.

This article provides insight into the complaints and discrepancies encountered in a commercial hardening facility, their possible causes, and proposed solutions. Examining these aspects allows us to better understand the complexity of heat treatment processes and identify key areas for improvement to achieve the desired quality and reliability of the final products.
