Free-cooling technology in the praxis for energy cost and CO2 reduction in the heat treatment plants
We would like to share our long-term experience in the cooling applications for heat treatment branch. We will show you our technical solution and realization in the process of materials demagnetization. The goal was to increase the cooling capacity for additional heat treatment application and at the same time to save the electrical energy for the operation of the cooling device.
The original compressor chiller was replaced with a new one MTA water/water, but with the consideration of the use of free-cooling technology. The engine room with pumps, cooler, glycol/water plate exchanger separating the cooling circuits are located inside in the operation plant, because of the specific request to install almost all equipment inside the hall.
The new installation ensures a reduction in operating costs for cooling, thus also a global reduction in CO2 production during electricity generation, especially in the winter months. We use similar technologies for cooling e.g. oil, polymer and water quenching baths.
