When you measure hardness, measure it properly
Hardness measurement is one of the important steps in the quality control of heat-treated components. Unfortunately, the test is not always carried out correctly and the hardness results may not be completely consistent with the actual state. In order for the results of the hardness measurement test to be as accurate as possible, it is necessary to follow the standards, recommended procedures, instructions of the hardness tester manufacturer and, of course, to carry out regular verification of the hardness testers and their calibration.
